Meet The Staff
Jim Johnson (Host)
Jim grew up on a small beef cattle operation in West Virginia and has always had a passion for beef cattle. He graduated from West Virginia University and soon began his career in the beef cattle business. Throughout his career he’s had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the leading beef cattle personalities, producers and ranchers in the world and quickly discovered their unique stories and experiences. Jim created the Brands and Barbed Wire podcast to bring those stories to you.
Jim is married to the love of his life Martha and they have one daughter, Lilli, and son, A.J. They run a small purebred herd of cattle in beautiful historic Appomattox, VA. Jim enjoys his time with his family and their cows as well as attending the occasional WVU Mountaineer football game. Jim is extremely blessed and credits God for his wonderful family, a career in something he loves and now the opportunity to share that with others.
Jim and his family would like to thank everyone for all the positive feedback they’ve received from the podcast and look forward to bringing you many more stories, ranches and people.
Jim is available for public speaking, hosting or voice over opportunities. Please inquire via the contact us section.
